OfflineHello to our DG family. I know many of you out there always keep tabs on what Jeremy and I have been doing in the REI world and we do appreciate it very, very much. But I have some sad news to post.
Early this morning Jeremy's mom passed away after a brief illness.
Many of you have watched our progress and have sent tons of encouraging notes to our posts.
I am now asking all of you to send a short message of support and love to Jeremy as he goes through this difficult time. I know he would really appreciate it, because he thinks of all of you as family.

We all here at DG have read of your success with Jan. We all rejoice the two of you have showed us, that yes, we can all do this. Thank you for the hope you have given all of us who follow your posts! I once was suffering a terrible emotional pain, and a friend of mine, another guy, came up and knelt with me. He put his arm around my shoulders but said nothing. He was showing me that he understood what I was feeling and that he cared about me, and that his heart was going out to me. It was such a comfort. Jeremy, if I was able to, I would just put my arm around your shoulders and kneel with you until your pain had passed. I'm so sorry for your loss my young friend. This brings tears to my eyes as I read these posts and reminds me just how special our mothers are to all of us. Jeremy, may you find peace in rememberance of how wonderful she is and smile at all the memories that she made with you - you will never really lose her, she will always be with you!

My heart & prayers go out to you as much as humanly possible. Just think, just a couple of days ago I had the chance for us to meet each other one on one with your partner Jan, out in AZ. If you remember, my 4 little girls probably drove you crazy!!!
Point is, we were all in such great moods, happy, and trully loving life. Unfortunately, with the loss of your mother, that goes all by the way side as you naturally grieve. She is undoubtedly looking down on you with such pride and admiration and I hope you can take some consolence in that.
Happy times will return and now that you have one more "Angel" carrying you along, you will undoubtedly continue to grow and prosper in anything you set your mind too.
It was so nice to be able to shake your hand and meet you and Jan in person. I look forward to the day when we can all meet up once again.

I cried when I got Jan's text just before boarding the plane last night. And now as I am able to post, the tears well up again. You are such a precious young man, and after spending time with you I know you must have been the treasure of your mother's life. What joy she must have had to watch her son become such a strong, gentle man, with a heart of gold and an inspiration to so many at just 19 years old.
I am so sad for the loss you are bearing..
Know that we are here for you, Jeremy. Nothing can ever replace your mom, but hold the memories tight and continue to live a life that would make her proud. We are here for anything you might need..anything..

Just so you know I understand, I lost my mom to cancer when I was 17 and my wife just 4 years ago to cancer. That doesn't mean I know your pain. I will pray for you every time God brings you to my mind. I pray tht you will work through your loss and move on. I am so glad that your partner Jan is there to help support you during this time of trial.

I was shocked and devastated. What news to have received after such an awesome weekend. Speaking as a mother of three and having met you in person, I know that she had to be very proud to have such a wonderful son like you. She went in peace knowing that you were heading in the right direction and would be well taken care of in her absence. Having Jan in your life must have brought her so much comfort, that she was able to let go and return home with our Lord where she is not suffering, but soaring high above you wherever you go.

I am very touched by all of this. My mom was the most important thing in my life, she had doubts about real estate at first, but then began to support me in all of it and was very proud of me. She was only 58, and just made it to her Brithday on Nov. 2nd, and Halloween which was her favorite holiday. Life is short and not fair. I know she is in heaven now with her parents and family that passed on, and she will always be with me and we will be together again one day. All of these posts truly made me feel good. It was a pleasure meeting Rina,Elena,Greg,Laura, and Robert this weekend. If only I would've known my mom was going to leave I would've stood with her instead of being away for a few days. I wanted to get her and my dad a house, it was her dream to own soemthing worry free, it is a shame that could not happen in time. I am going to dedicate all of my investing to her, and help my dad get a house too. I'm going to go full force in RE and make my mom proud of me. I will put all of this depression and sadness and channel it towards success. Thank you to AngelaK,Sandra,Lubertha,Marc, and some other DG members who have been speaking to me through these hard times and even offering to come see me if I needed. And thank you to Jan, the best partner in the world for being there for me. Love you all DG family, I hope to find comfort soon.
